Principal Systems Engineer, Security-Critical Infrastructure @ Stigning Company

EngagementJanuary 2022 - Present
ContextRjukan, Norway
  • Lead Stigning as an engineering lab focused on security-critical infrastructure, post-quantum cryptography, distributed systems, protocol correctness, and high-assurance backend platforms.

  • Architect and implement systems across blockchain infrastructure, cryptographic protocols, IIoT security, resilient backend services, and distributed execution environments using Rust, Go, C++, Solidity, and formal/adversarial design methods.

  • Design post-quantum and quantum-resilient infrastructure for secure communication, key management, protocol migration, and long-term cryptographic agility in systems exposed to adversarial and high-reliability requirements.

  • Develop formal specifications, threat models, system invariants, state-machine models, verification-oriented documentation, and security architecture for protocols and platforms where correctness must be reasoned about explicitly.

  • Engineer high-performance and low-level systems with attention to memory safety, concurrency, latency, fault tolerance, resource efficiency, deployment reproducibility, and operational resilience.

  • Incubate and develop original infrastructure initiatives such as verifiable execution layers, Solana security operations tooling, post-quantum IIoT components, and verification-centered blockchain infrastructure.

  • Build and contribute to open-source projects involving post-quantum cryptography, blockchain infrastructure, verifiable execution, distributed systems, IIoT security, and secure protocol design.

  • Provide technical leadership across research, architecture, implementation, documentation, and security review, defining engineering standards for systems where failure is structural, operational, or adversarial rather than merely cosmetic.
