Context

The TELTONIKA TM2500 work involved embedded tracking-device capabilities where device-side behavior, location accuracy, sensor integration, and recovery paths are operationally significant. The system surface spans firmware behavior, connectivity, and backend-visible telemetry.

Work Performed

  • Engineered functionality around tamper detection, accelerometer wake-up, GNSS/LBS positioning, and indoor tracking.
  • Worked with Bluetooth sensor support for light, temperature, humidity, and related environmental signals.
  • Considered recovery mode, manual geofencing, movement detection, timezone-aware scheduling, tracking-on-stop/on-move behavior, backup tracking, and static navigation.
  • Treated FOTA and device-side state transitions as reliability-sensitive operational concerns.

Engineering Notes

Tracking devices operate under hostile real-world constraints: intermittent network access, sensor noise, firmware update risk, battery limits, and inconsistent movement patterns. Correct behavior requires explicit state handling rather than optimistic telemetry assumptions.

Outcome

The work contributed embedded and IIoT experience across location tracking, device state management, firmware update behavior, and sensor-backed telemetry.
